New interactive broadband map from Ofcom

Ofcom, the UK telcoms regulator, has published a new interactive map showing both broadband speed and mobile phone coverage across the country.

By entering your postcode, you will be able to see the average interet speeds for your area as well as indoor and outdoor mobile phone coverage. The results include information on the ability to make phone calls, access 3G and 4G, from all major providers. It also gives tips on how to improve internet connection or mobile coverage.

The map uses data coming directly from broadband suppliers. You can use the tool to check the kind of broadband speeds you might get if you are moving to a new area. Businesses can also use it to check the broadband speeds and mobile coverage of new office locations.

It is important to note that all the given speeds are averaged and will not be exact. The map is available on the Ofcom website, here: Ofcom Checker.
